Our mission

Elevate perspectives. Change our world view.

We curate a collection of images composed of real humans that mirrors the vast kaleidoscope of Canadian society. Additionally, we provide workshops for communication, creative, and marketing professionals with the aim of inspiring concrete actions to foster a representation-led mindset via curiosity.

Representation involves communities and diverse individual identities, including age, gender, ethnicity, appearance, neurodiversity, and status, among others, that surround us.

Representation strengthens self-esteem, deconstructs stereotypes, and provides human validation. It also creates a fertile ground for more fulfilled and innovative society.

“I think curiosity is everything. It’s the underlying motivation to learn. It’s a characteristic where you acknowledge you don’t know everything and that perhaps there are better ways to do things. I’m always nervous about people who aren’t curious about anything in the world.”

– Simon Sinek

Pre&ent is located on unceded Indigenous lands, of which the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation are recognized as the custodians. Tiohtiá:ke (Montreal) is historically known as a site of meeting and trade for many First Nations. Today it is home to a diverse population of Indigenous and other peoples. We respectfully acknowledge this legacy as it informs past, present and future in our relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within the Montreal community.
