Our mission

Elevate perspectives. Change our world view.

We curate a collection of images composed of real humans that mirrors the vast kaleidoscope of Canadian society. Additionally, we provide workshops and research for organizations, communication, creative, and marketing professionals with the aim of inspiring concrete actions to foster a representation-led mindset via curiosity.

Representation involves communities and diverse individual identities, including age, gender, ethnicity, appearance, neurodiversity, and status, among others, that surround us.

Representation strengthens self-esteem, deconstructs stereotypes, and provides human validation. It also creates a fertile ground for more fulfilled and innovative society.

Let's connect

Our workshops

Designed for all organizations and marketing-communications teams that want a little help in developing representation-led methodologies and output via tools & know-how guidance.

“I suppose that's the way we humans are, thinking too much and listening too little. Paying attention acknowledges that we have something to learn from intelligences other than our own. Listening, standing witness, creates an openness to the world in which the boundaries between us can dissolve in a raindrop.”

Tiohtiá:ke

Pre&ent is located on unceded Indigenous lands, of which the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation are recognized as the custodians. Tiohtiá:ke (Montreal) is historically known as a site of meeting and trade for many First Nations. Today it is home to a diverse population of Indigenous and other peoples. We respectfully acknowledge this legacy as it informs past, present and future in our relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within the Montreal community.
